Building Global Networks
Our teams, staff and partners understand the importance of education in creating a better world, filled with opportunities and pathways towards success.
The Arctic is home to people who all share a common reality; that of being entrenched in remote communities that are very far away from big cities. Moreover, the tundra makes up most of the land. Historically and to this day, the Inuit people have inhabited these lands, and is also now home to many other people from across the globe.
As the society evolves in this region, promoting the general education of the population is a key component in making the communities thrive. All Arctic is a strong proponent of the idea that elementary, secondary, vocational, collegial, university, and land-based pedagogies play an inherent role in allowing the youth to live better lives. Education is the transformation of generations that seek to change and adapt.
Here’s how we do it.
It’s been working well.
Identifying events, partnerships, networks and conferences that offer a platform for the introduction of who we are, what we believe in, and the work we do
Creating important connections with key stakeholders that share a similar vision of education and that want to help us elevate our message
Using an asset-based community development approach to create allies and nurture our new connections that can create good and last over time
Current Projects
All Arctic has built a common understanding with a group of Quechua Indigenous women from the Ayacucho Region in Peru, South America. Sharing and exchanging stories and epistemologies is a great way to learn and grow. Follow us to know more about how we learn, share, and grow from our exchange with FEREMIA (Federacion Regional de Mujeres Indigenas de Ayacucho).
In Building Climate Resilience from Indigenous Perspectives, All Arctic is actively working to develop climate resilience and support Indigenous-led transformative climate action.
Groups from across Latin-American countries, including Bolivia, Colombia, Peru, and Guatemala, partnered with Indigenous groups from Canada. As the only Inuit group, All Arctic is actively learning from FEREMIA, building a long-lasting, sustainable, relationship and partnership.
