What is Drone Soccer ?
Drone Soccer is an innovative team sport that combines drone technology with the excitement and strategy of soccer. Two teams compete by flying specially designed, fully enclosed drones through an elevated goal while defending their own. Success depends on teamwork, communication, precision flying, and tactical thinking.
More than just a competition, Drone Soccer is an educational sport that introduces participants to the world of drones, robotics, engineering, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Players learn how to safely operate, maintain, and repair their drones while developing valuable skills such as problem-solving, leadership, collaboration, and critical thinking.
Played in schools, community programs, and international competitions around the world, Drone Soccer is inspiring the next generation of innovators by making technology engaging, accessible, and fun.

Building tomorrow’s Arctic workforce
Drone Soccer introduces youth participants to careers in aviation, engineering, robotics, environmental science, and other technology-driven industries. By sparking curiosity today, the program helps prepare youth for tomorrow's opportunities.
Development of skills
Participants strengthen teamwork, leadership, communication, critical thinking, technical problem-solving, creativity, resilience, and precision. These skills extend well beyond the playing field and support success in school, work, and everyday life.
Program activities
The program combines drone flight training, equipment maintenance, team practices, strategy sessions, STEM workshops, friendly competitions, and community showcases. Every activity encourages learning through hands-on experience and collaboration.
The youth also learn from local Inuit pilots of various Air Inuit aircrafts, from De Havilland Twin Otters, to De Havilland Dash-8s, to Beechcraft King Airs, and Boeing 737s. These local pilots share their stories, experiences, and vision of the future for the Arctic with the youth, and invite the youth aboard their aircrafts, in the cockpit, to allow them to experience, learn, and dream what an aviation career could look like.

Drone Soccer is about much more than winning matches. It builds confidence, encourages healthy lifestyles, strengthens friendships, and helps young people discover new passions while fostering a lifelong interest in science and innovation.
